why should I hire ec+g?
You should hire ec+g for your web and graphics work because
- you want someone who understands the purpose of your site, and how to achieve it.
- you want quality work and attention to detail.
- you want your site to be usable, and accessible to as many people as possible.
- you want someone with all the skills you need — not just a coder, or a visual guy, or content guy, but someone who understands all of these aspects and how they fit together.
- you want someone who will give you what you need, and not charge a ton for things you don't need.
- you want to work with someone who's pleasant and fun to work with, while still maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
Of course, if you don't want those things, maybe ec+g's not the company for you...
who is elemental code + graphics?
ec+g is (currently) a one-man shop, owned by Ken Thompson. Ken is a resident of Richmond, BC, originally from Toronto, ON. He has a wife, two young children, an MBA, a bunch of web and graphics experience, and a knack for both technology and visual design.
what does "elemental" mean?
The name comes from the ancient idea of the "four elements" — air, fire, water, and earth — which were once thought to make up the universe. As a student of classics, Ken is fascinated by this idea and by what the elements represent, which are qualities he seeks to practice with ec+g.
